one pointedness

looking at the literature on meditation, it is centred around one pointedness; that one pointedness could be fixation on an object or dissolution of something including one’s own self, both means being irrelevant in themselves;

it is no wonder then that the ancient gatekeepers of ancient wisdom one of which being gaṇapati, has a single tusk — ekadanta, also linking the name as a nyāsa for the private part, the reproductive organ and better, energy’s sole upwards or downwards movement being critical for growth;

another guardian being hanumān {the devatā himself being the living proof of his one-pointed focus on rāma}, lording over vāyu, the propensity of the air element being pervasive and yet, its potentiality indicating taking one to their desired destination with you guessed it — one pointedness;

and yet another guardian being bhairava, having the tenacity to grant one the flow state, free of worries and doubt and in perfect unison with the self of deity consciousness. one pointedness stands again and again as a testament to the primary and pivotal factor for growth.
